Air Logistics & Flight Agreement
Effective Date: May 11, 2026
"This Agreement governs international and domestic air relocation services for pets booked through the Pet Store Platform."
1. International Standards (IATA)
All air shipments must comply strictly with the IATA Live Animals Regulations (LAR). This includes specific crate dimensions, ventilation requirements, and labeling standards.
2. Documentation & Permits
The Logistics Provider is responsible for the professional coordination of all required paperwork, including:
- Export/import permits and veterinary health certificates required by origin and destination countries.
- CITES or wildlife permits where protected species or cross-border rules apply.
- International health certificates and rabies titre test results where required.
3. Flight Delays & Boarding
Providers are not liable for airline-initiated cancellations or weather-related delays. However, in the event of a delay, the Provider must:
- Provide climate-controlled boarding and professional care for the animal.
- Ensure regular communication with the owner regarding the new flight schedule.
4. Sedation Policy
In alignment with airline safety protocols, no animal shall be sedated for air travel unless explicitly requested in writing by a licensed veterinarian for specific medical reasons. Sedation during flight can be life-threatening.
5. Ownership Liability
Owners are responsible for the accuracy of all information provided about the pet's age, breed (especially brachycephalic/snub-nosed breeds which have flight restrictions), and health history.
6. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform duties due to acts of God, war, pandemic-related border closures, or other events beyond reasonable control.
